After a defensive mix-up in Febre's zone, Tadeo Gelacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Quinito came out of the goal and Tadeo Gelacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 8th minute, Gonzalo Ceandro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nestor Quinito was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Melquiades Estevez kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Gonzalo Ceandro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Nestor Quinito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Citizens booed when Febre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Erramun didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 20 played minutes Melquiades Estevez rounded Citizens's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. Humberto Barrionuevo hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Mariano Feliu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anacleto Austin. Citizens's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 29th match minute, Febre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Azibar to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 34 minutes, Melquiades Estevez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Febre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Estevez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Citizens's Anacleto Austin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Citizens from getting a goal against them. In the 37th minute, Lucas Nalo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45thth minute of the game Melquiades Estevez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Citizens's Anacleto Austin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Febre's Nestor Quinito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Gelacio in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Melquiades Estevez made the kick off in the second half. Humberto Barrionuevo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Febre getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Paulino Milian hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Simon Rios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santo Etxepare shot a long shot in the 71st minute and a light blocked Nestor Quinito hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-3. In the 77th minute, Mariano Feliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anacleto Austin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Estevez, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute Humberto Barrionuevo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Austin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Barrionuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Austin having to interfere. Gonzalo Ceandro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Quinito read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Citizens players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
