Timoteo Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeo Rumaldo having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Laharrague's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Chico came free, but Amadeo Rumaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Blanco in the 43rd minute of play forced Laharrague's goalkeeper Amadeo Rumaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
