The crowd rose to their feet as Arnoldo Procopio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Abel Onbera. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Tonete in the 15th minute of play forced Iglesia AFC's goalkeeper Eusebio Acevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nestor Tonete in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebio Acevedo saved Iglesia AFC from getting behind. In the 28th minute, Iglesia AFC's Ivan Oalo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abel Onbera. Abel Onbera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When Christian Fliz fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Embarcación's protests and gave Christian Fliz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Christian Fliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Octavio Patrido charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Octavio Patrido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Embarcación was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Patrido to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute Nestor Tonete shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemesio Vistruario's late challenge caught a Iglesia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nemesio Vistruario helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th match minute, Embarcación was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Vistruario to maneuver through the defense.

After 52 played minutes, Iglesia AFC's Cirilo Gagriel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abel Onbera came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Iglesia AFC reached it. Abel Onbera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Oalo in the 56th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Iglesia AFC's goalkeeper Eusebio Acevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Tonete. Eusebio Acevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nestor Tonete showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 62 minute of play. If Sergio Guillem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Embarcación booed when Iglesia AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Clemencin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nestor Tonete made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 75thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Eusebio Acevedo would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nestor Tonete in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eusebio Acevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Embarcación's Abel Onbera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnoldo Procopio in the 82nd minute of play.
