Iglesia AFC's Eusebio Acevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eloy Rufo in the 30th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ivan Oalo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iglesia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ivan Oalo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Justino Iago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnoldo Procopio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Iago having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Patriaverdinegra had won after a very even match.
