Honorato Santo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Eusebio Acevedo made a huge save. In the 24th match minute, Iglesia AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Berasko to maneuver through the defense. Honorato Santo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusebio Acevedo having to make a save. With a little luck, Iglesia AFC's Eusebio Acevedo got control of the ball when Honorato Santo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Lucio Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honorato Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When %teams%'s Lucio Elodio was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 2-0 just inside the left pole, 43 minutes into the game. Rodrigo Cidro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 67 played minutes Iglesia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Remicio. Rodrigo Cidro, 68 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 85 played minutes, Verna AFC's Rodrigo Cidro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eusebio Acevedo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Verna AFC reached it. Verna AFC's Lucio Elodio got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Verna AFC's Jaime Tello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Oalo in the 92nd minute of play. Verna AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
