Embarcación's Abel Onbera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Embarcación from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Tonete in the 19th minute of play forced Meneco F.C's goalkeeper Antonio Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Tonete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Shepherd having to interfere. Rafael Jobo struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Antonio Shepherd didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Embarcación. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Nestor Tonete managed to get in a good position for a shot. Embarcación's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Tonete was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Shepherd breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Meneco F.C's zone, Rafael Jobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Shepherd came out of the goal and Rafael Jobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Tonete in the 36th minute of play forced Meneco F.C's goalkeeper Antonio Shepherd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ignacio Estavan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Meneco F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Tonete came free, but Antonio Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Fliz hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Embarcación's Abel Onbera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Astor Ereinotz in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 minutes of play, Meneco F.C's Ignacio Estavan made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel Onbera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sergio Guillem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Shepherd having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Ignacio Estavan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Onbera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Embarcación's Nestor Tonete got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rafael Jobo came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Embarcación fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Jobo couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Meneco F.C booed when Embarcación was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Patrido didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 84th minute, Adolfo Calisto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Onbera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Estavan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Embarcación's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
