Freddy Sabino came out and tried to block the shot, but Aureliano Todor slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. When Aureliano Ishmael, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 13 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Delmiro Urbasa was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Aureliano Ishmael might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Delmiro Urbasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Ishmael ran back to his position shaking his head. Delmiro Urbasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Garikoitz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute Aureliano Todor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddy Sabino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Aureliano Todor fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Freddy Sabino, passed just outside the right post. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meridiano FC's goalkeeper Delmiro Urbasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 29th minute Angelo Garikoitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Urbasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Mendez during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 35 played minutes Meridiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Mendez. Jonatan Cebrian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Freddy Sabino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Meridiano FC's Jonatan Cebrian got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Todor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Meridiano FC's Fermin Tancredo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Delmiro Urbasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Garikoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 62nd minute, Baldomiro Papo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute, Andres Guerau sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Meridiano FC's Delmiro Urbasa didn't even have to move. After 64 played minutes Meridiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Baldomiro Papo. Aureliano Ishmael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 played minutes Meridiano FC got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Tancredo. Bandera's Freddy Sabino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aureliano Todor in the 72nd minute of play. When Aureliano Todor came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Meridiano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Todor couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jonatan Cebrian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meridiano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Cebrian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddy Sabino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Jonatan Cebrian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aureliano Todor might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Sabino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliano Todor ran back to his position shaking his head. Freddy Sabino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Todor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Meridiano FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
