When Amador Burni, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 4 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Abel Fagildo was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 6 minutes into the match, La Holaneta's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Burni came free, but Abel Fagildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulises Truylos hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Amado Vigil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. La Holaneta's Abel Fagildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amado Vigil in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute Amado Vigil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Fagildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Amado Vigil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Abel Fagildo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Anier Aguirre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eleuterio Alonso. Gavilandia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anier Aguirre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Anier Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Holaneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Aguirre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Alonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 28th minute of the game, Matias Grabiel landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Jorge Toro's late challenge caught a La Holaneta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Toro helped the player get up and apologised. Jorge Toro kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Amado Vigil took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel Fagildo. Abel Fagildo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. 38 minutes into the match, Amado Vigil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Fagildo. La Holaneta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amado Vigil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Eleuterio Alonso made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Anier Aguirre sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Amado Vigil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gavilandia's supporters rose to their feet, but Amado Vigil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Fagildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

Amado Vigil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Fagildo having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Generoso Todor during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 65 minutes into the game, one of La Holaneta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Gavilandia a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pablo Urti, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of La Holaneta's Abel Fagildo. 1-5. With a little luck, La Holaneta's Abel Fagildo got control of the ball when Amador Burni tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th play minute Amador Burni came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abel Fagildo. 1-6. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Anier Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Holaneta's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Aguirre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eleuterio Alonso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Gavilandia's Diego Gamus got a free kick in the 81st minute. Gavilandia's Eleuterio Alonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Aguirre in the 87th minute of play. Ruben Senon's late challenge caught a La Holaneta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruben Senon helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Gavilandia getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ruben Senon hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, La Holaneta's Ulises Truylos got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 98th match minute, Gavilandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Goizeder to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Gavilandia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Holaneta throughout the match.
