Bernabe Austin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Romeo Astigar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romeo Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Flores, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 6 minutes, Jaime Flores made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Carmen FC's Romeo Astigar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vito Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Bonadona in the 11th minute of play. Manuel Bonadona kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Jaime Flores's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeo Astigar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Carmen FC's Moises Mogel got a free kick in the 21st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Bernabe Austin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laprida's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Austin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeo Astigar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 24 minutes, Emiliano Vachon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laprida and the Carmen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Laprida getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Emiliano Vachon hit a great ball. When Carmen FC's Manuel Bonadona in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Laprida's goalie prevented a goal. If Manuel Bonadona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Manuel Bonadona came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Carmen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Bonadona couldn't finish the play. In the 47th minute, Jaime Flores got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Laprida booed when Carmen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Mogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeo Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Austin in the 56th minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Bernabe Austin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Romeo Astigar. Bernabe Austin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Bernabe Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eloy Quin fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmen FC's protests and gave Eloy Quin a yellow card for diving instead. Jairo Senio kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes Carmen FC got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Bonadona. After some careless play in the Carmen FC defense, Jaime Flores kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romeo Astigar. The Carmen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romeo Astigar should have stopped the shot. In the 79th match minute, Laprida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Matei to maneuver through the defense. Vito Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Bonadona, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 82 minutes, Jaime Flores made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Carmen FC's Romeo Astigar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vito Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernan Che, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Bonadona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Meirelles having to interfere. Laprida's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
