The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Martino in the 4th minute of play forced Carmen FC's goalkeeper Romeo Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Carmen FC's Manuel Bonadona in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 17th minute, Basilio Dei got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, Manuel Bonadona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Godofredo Ederono was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Romeo Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Martino in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 minutes, Manuel Bonadona made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ahogadoenrazón's Godofredo Ederono tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicasio Llanos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Martino in the 30th minute of play forced Carmen FC's goalkeeper Romeo Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmen FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Nicasio Llanos scored to the left of an out of position Romeo Astigar, making the score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Martino in the 39th minute of play forced Carmen FC's goalkeeper Romeo Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernan Che received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Godofredo Ederono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victorino Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Carmen FC's Moises Mogel couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ahogadoenrazón. 48 minutes into the game, Carmen FC's Fernan Che nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Godofredo Ederono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When Dionisio Fanuco fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carmen FC's protests and gave Dionisio Fanuco a yellow card for diving instead. Dionisio Fanuco hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Nicasio Llanos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeo Astigar was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Godofredo Ederono made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernan Che in the 60th minute. Juan Chayo's late challenge caught a Carmen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Bonadona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernan Che during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fernan Che hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Romeo Astigar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Llanos in the 68th minute of play. Romeo Astigar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustaquio Martino in the 69th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Ahogadoenrazón's Tiburcio Maxin got a free kick in the 75th minute. Moises Mogel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute, Emanuel Aznar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 81 minutes into the match, Ahogadoenrazón's goalkeeper Godofredo Ederono had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernan Che. After a rather tough play, Ahogadoenrazón's Emanuel Aznar got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Fernan Che might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Godofredo Ederono. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernan Che ran back to his position shaking his head. After 88 minutes, Manuel Bonadona mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmen FC and the Ahogadoenrazón players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Carmen FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Manuel Bonadona hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the game, Victorino Gil was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ahogadoenrazón's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carmen FC the free kick. The supporters of Carmen FC booed when Ahogadoenrazón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Gil didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 97 minutes of play Ahogadoenrazón's Victorino Gil was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Victorino Gil kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. When the match was over Carmen FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ahogadoenrazón throughout the match.
