Niupi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Román fc the free kick. In the 20th minute Nestor Gonsalve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Elizardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Dayam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oscar Nataniel, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Nestor Gonsalve kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rafael Elizardo. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. Armando Dayam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Nataniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodrigo Matro struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Armando Dayam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Román fc. Nestor Gonsalve's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Elizardo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Niupi FC got a freekick which was hit by Cornelio Txurio. Ricardo Rufio hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oscar Nataniel made a kick off. Rafael Elizardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Baristo, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After a rather tough play, Román fc's Herminio Sabino got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Elias Abella hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Oscar Nataniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herminio Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Dayam having to interfere. In the 87th minute, Herminio Sabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Herminio Sabino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
