He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laprida reached it. In the 17th minute, Herminio Sabino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernabe Austin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Elizardo having to interfere. When Herminio Sabino fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Román fc's protests and gave Herminio Sabino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Herminio Sabino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 35 minutes into the match, Román fc's Rodrigo Matro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vito Meirelles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The wind increased when Rodrigo Matro made the kick off in the second half. Jaime Flores received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rafael Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Elizardo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Matei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Elizardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Matei in the 83rd minute of play. When Bernabe Austin came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Laprida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernabe Austin couldn't finish the play. Jaime Flores received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Rafael Elizardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernabe Austin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Román fc's Rafael Elizardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Austin in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Laprida players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Román fc.
