The supporters of Granville AFC booed when Ichigualasto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Cucao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Jaen made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 22ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Feliberto Otsoko would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sebastian Silvanito during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wilfredo Salbatore stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Siro Paskal's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ignacio Urdaspal to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ichigualasto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ignacio Urdaspal came free, but Feliberto Otsoko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Feliberto Otsoko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacio Urdaspal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patricio Jaen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Feliberto Otsoko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Gonzalo Cucao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ignacio Urdaspal in the 59th minute of play forced Ichigualasto FC's goalkeeper Feliberto Otsoko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Patricio Jaen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Feliberto Otsoko was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patricio Jaen in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feliberto Otsoko saved Ichigualasto FC from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, Ignacio Urdaspal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliberto Otsoko. Ichigualasto FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Urdaspal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Granville AFC's Wilfredo Salbatore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Granville AFC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Urdaspal in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliberto Otsoko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Patricio Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Feliberto Otsoko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Granville AFC's Ignacio Urdaspal in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Patricio Jaen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Feliberto Otsoko having to make a save. Sebastian Silvanito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Otsoko having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Ignacio Urdaspal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Urdaspal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Feliberto Otsoko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
