After having played for 5 minutes, Aurelio Ferman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lyon FC 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Ferman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emilio Montel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 14th minute Delmar Ramond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruperto Edorta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Anacleto Maxin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lyon FC 's supporters rose to their feet, but Anacleto Maxin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Buinton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Anacleto Maxin came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Lyon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anacleto Maxin couldn't finish the play. Fidel Gaspard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ruperto Edorta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Buinton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurelio Ferman's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Artemio Feliz's late challenge caught a tempra fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Feliz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Artemio Feliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, Emilio Montel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruperto Edorta. Lyon FC 's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emilio Montel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciro Ourente was the one to do the kick off. Daniel Buinton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Ferman in the 56th minute of play. When Valentin Otsoa fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lyon FC 's protests and gave Valentin Otsoa a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes Lyon FC got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Otsoa. Emilio Montel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of tempra fc booed when Lyon FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Feliz didn't get a good kick on the ball. tempra fc's Dario Gil couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 65th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lyon FC . After a defensive mix-up in tempra fc's zone, Aurelio Ferman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Buinton came out of the goal and Aurelio Ferman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emilio Montel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Edorta having to interfere. Lyon FC 's Ruperto Edorta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Lyon FC from getting a goal against them. After 79 minutes, Aristides Madaleno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lyon FC and the tempra fc players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lyon FC 's Aristides Madaleno got a free kick in the 79th minute. Ciro Ourente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruperto Edorta having to interfere. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lyon FC 's goalkeeper Ruperto Edorta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emilio Montel took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruperto Edorta. Ruperto Edorta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emilio Montel got free with Ruperto Edorta in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The tempra fc supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing tempra fc would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
