Fernández AFC's Santos Koldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Faustino Mannuel in the 21st minute of play. Jeremias Ondino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremias Virila having to make a save. Gaston Clodio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Virila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Covunco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Mannuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
