Spectators: 7086 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) In the 4th minute, Camilo Ticho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Velloso booed when Pasión Fortinera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Dalmau didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cornelio Claude received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Honorato Oliverios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velloso's goalkeeper Santo Gotzon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santo Gotzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edelmiro Lartaun in the 20th minute of play. Edelmiro Lartaun might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santo Gotzon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edelmiro Lartaun ran back to his position shaking his head. After 25 played minutes, Pasión Fortinera's Haroldo Sabino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Santo Gotzon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pasión Fortinera reached it. Camilo Ticho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honorato Oliverios having to interfere. Edelmiro Lartaun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Ticho in the 38th minute of play forced Pasión Fortinera's goalkeeper Honorato Oliverios to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Cornelio Claude managed to get in a good position for a shot. Velloso's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Claude was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honorato Oliverios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Camilo Ticho came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Velloso fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Ticho couldn't finish the play. Velloso's Cornelio Claude got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Pasión Fortinera was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Haroldo Sabino to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After a defensive mix-up in Velloso's zone, Alberto Felo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Gotzon came out of the goal and Alberto Felo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cornelio Claude had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camilo Ticho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornelio Claude blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorato Oliverios having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camilo Ticho in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Honorato Oliverios saved Pasión Fortinera from getting behind. Niceto Galeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Santo Gotzon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Damaso Galindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cornelio Claude in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honorato Oliverios prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Velloso fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pasión Fortinera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
