The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tiburcio Salamon made the kick off in the second half. Nereo Joachim struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Clemente Oalo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for s.f la union. After 60 minutes, Cirilo Rencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the gilguero and the s.f la union players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Cirilo Rencio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiburcio Salamon in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Oalo saved gilguero from getting behind. Tiburcio Salamon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. gilguero's Gaspar Ihazintu got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaspar Ihazintu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Peyo having to interfere. Tiburcio Salamon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Clemente Oalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in gilguero's zone, Tiburcio Salamon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Oalo came out of the goal and Tiburcio Salamon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nereo Joachim's late challenge caught a gilguero's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nereo Joachim helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of gilguero booed when s.f la union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nereo Joachim didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Casimiro Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot. gilguero's supporters rose to their feet, but Casimiro Hats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Peyo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. gilguero had won after a very even match.
