Casimiro Hats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Urdaspal having to interfere. Marcos Urdaspal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaspar Ihazintu, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th match minute, gilguero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Bikendi to maneuver through the defense. Angel Bikendi hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Casimiro Hats received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcos Urdaspal came out and tried to block the shot, but Casimiro Hats slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 31st minute. Casimiro Hats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marcos Urdaspal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Teodosio Cresconio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casimiro Hats's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Urdaspal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Marcos Urdaspal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Ihazintu in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Gaspar Ihazintu made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, LA CANDELARIA's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Hats came free, but Marcos Urdaspal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Urdaspal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gaspar Ihazintu in the 62nd minute of play. Gaspar Ihazintu scored 2-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Urdaspal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcos Urdaspal came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by gilguero's Filomeno Garci. But to his dismay, Filomeno Garci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When Federico Eztebe came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the LA CANDELARIA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Eztebe couldn't finish the play. Ivan Iratze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 played minutes gilguero got a freekick which was hit by Angel Bikendi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Ihazintu in the 81st minute of play forced LA CANDELARIA's goalkeeper Marcos Urdaspal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to LA CANDELARIA getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Teodosio Cresconio hit a great ball. Valentin Aimar charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Aimar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to LA CANDELARIA getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. gilguero fully deserved thier win.
