Spectators: 6706 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Guaberto Laurin kicked off to start the match. Moises Vitin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Laurin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Omar Onofre during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 played minutes Hoffenheim got a freekick which was hit by Omar Onofre. After 7 played minutes Ranchos got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Abar. Edelmiro Bertol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Guaberto Laurin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eugenio Guillelmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ranchos's Teodoro Obeko got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eugenio Guillelmo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Jacinto Resto 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Guillelmo in the 37th minute of play forced Hoffenheim's goalkeeper Jacinto Resto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Bertol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Moises Vitin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Obeko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Resto having to interfere. Hoffenheim's Jacinto Resto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Guillelmo in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Guaberto Laurin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hoffenheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Laurin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moises Vitin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th match minute, Ranchos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Venerando to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugenio Guillelmo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugenio Guillelmo in the 54th minute of play forced Hoffenheim's goalkeeper Jacinto Resto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Teodoro Obeko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hoffenheim! Ranchos's Elvio Normando couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hoffenheim. Ranchos's Elvio Normando was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jacinto Resto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Teodoro Obeko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacinto Resto having to make a save. When Domingo Abar fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranchos's protests and gave Domingo Abar a yellow card for diving instead. When Edelmiro Bertol came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Hoffenheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Bertol couldn't finish the play. Hoffenheim's Omar Onofre got his second yellow card of the match in the 86th minute. The referee ordered Omar Onofre off the ground. If Teodoro Obeko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Hoffenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Guillelmo came free, but Jacinto Resto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Resto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Obeko in the 91st minute of play. Eugenio Guillelmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 100th minute, Eugenio Guillelmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ranchos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hoffenheim had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
