Paulino Bela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Paulino Bela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaristo Ted was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Empalme FC's Paulino Bela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Ted narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Evaristo Ted stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Bela's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. 26 minutes into the match, El Papá del Sin Aliento's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Miro came free, but Evaristo Ted reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 28th minute when Paulino Bela elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Niceto Elequemedo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Evaristo Ted didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Empalme FC. When Niceto Elequemedo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Empalme FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Niceto Elequemedo couldn't finish the play. Paulino Bela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaristo Ted having to make a save. Paulino Bela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Paulino Bela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Elequemedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natalio Berart made a kick off. 55 minutes in the game, Guillermo Txomin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Evaristo Ted having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Empalme FC's Evaristo Ted threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Paulino Bela, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 58 minutes into the match, El Papá del Sin Aliento's goal looked a bit too open when Niceto Elequemedo came free, but Evaristo Ted reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Paulino Bela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Ted saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Paulino Bela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Ted showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Bela, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Santo Oro took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evaristo Ted. Evaristo Ted dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After having played for 93 minutes, Niceto Elequemedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Empalme FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niceto Elequemedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the last second Evaristo Ted throw himself and got hold of the ball when Paulino Bela in the 94thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Empalme FC played a much better game than El Papá del Sin Aliento and deserved their victory. The El Papá del Sin Aliento players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
