The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gustavo Ponce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natalio Berart's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Talacasto FC's zone, Hilario Dolfos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustavo Ponce came out of the goal and Hilario Dolfos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romeo Rutenio hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Natalio Berart sped through Talacasto FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustavo Ponce. Jacobo Manex received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Evaristo Ted tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Talacasto FC got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Bonifaco. When Segundo Eguen fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Papá del Sin Aliento's protests and gave Segundo Eguen a yellow card for diving instead. Segundo Eguen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

Hilario Dolfos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Natalio Berart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Ponce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Ted showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacobo Manex in the 78th minute of the match. Gustavo Ponce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Berart in the 80th minute of play. Adolfo Librado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Ted showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Lluc in the 89th minute of the match. Leopoldo Luke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Ponce having to interfere. The Talacasto FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching El Papá del Sin Aliento's performance. The match ended with a win for El Papá del Sin Aliento.
