After 20 minutes of play, Defensores de Tolkien's Jimeno Tomi made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Matai was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusebio Matai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Bakar in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Marini AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaudencio Banegas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Rafel in the 28th minute of play forced Defensores de Tolkien's goalkeeper Desiderio Derwin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusebio Matai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nemesio Bakar, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 31 minutes, Gaudencio Banegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marini AFC and the Defensores de Tolkien players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marini AFC's Gaudencio Banegas got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Nemesio Bakar came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Defensores de Tolkien fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nemesio Bakar couldn't finish the play. Delmiro Rafel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 46th match minute, Marini AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisito Marcones to maneuver through the defense. The Marini AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Defensores de Tolkien were winning 0-4.

The wind increased when Adan Jaen made the kick off in the second half. Eusebio Matai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Jaen in the 56th minute of play. Eusebio Matai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adan Jaen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eusebio Matai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Adan Jaen fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Eusebio Matai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adan Jaen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ildefonso Koldobika hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Jaen in the 94th minute of play forced Marini AFC's goalkeeper Eusebio Matai to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Defensores de Tolkien's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
