Leandro Perpinya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Ilixo in the 8th minute of the match. Esteban Oidor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Arias having to interfere. In the 14th minute Jonas Ilixo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Perpinya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Ilixo came free, but Leandro Perpinya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Erdiano kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. ßoca Ĵrs's Fernan Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquin Inge in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Esteban Oidor made a precise shot to the right of Fernan Arias. ßoca Ĵrs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. ßoca Ĵrs's Fernan Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Oidor in the 33rd minute of play. Fernan Arias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquin Inge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes, Paulino Maties mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ßoca Ĵrs and the Velez Sarsfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulino Maties kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Fernan Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Inge in the 40th minute of play. After 41 minutes of play ßoca Ĵrs's Paulino Maties was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Velez Sarsfield booed when ßoca Ĵrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Maties didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Baldomero Peruanton made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Hori. If Baldomero Peruanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baldomero Peruanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Perpinya having to interfere. Leandro Perpinya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Leobardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When ßoca Ĵrs's Baldomero Peruanton in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernan Arias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Oidor in the 65th minute of play. Baldomero Peruanton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Perpinya having to interfere. In the 80th minute, ßoca Ĵrs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Siro Urtsin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Joaquin Inge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute of the match, Esteban Oidor tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fernan Arias saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Siro Urtsin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Fernan Arias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Esteban Oidor dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernan Arias, 0-2. The Velez Sarsfield supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Velez Sarsfield would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
