When Romulo Oton came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Iguazú fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romulo Oton couldn't finish the play. Anastasio Madaleno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicanor Demario in the 9th minute of the match. Arturo Tohias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Anastasio Madaleno made a huge save. After recieving a nice pass, MMCE FC's Marco Galoer tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Gogo Euloxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Tohias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Madaleno having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Nicanor Demario kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anastasio Madaleno. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nicanor Demario's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anastasio Madaleno was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After having played for 33 minutes, Arturo Tohias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MMCE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Tohias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romulo Oton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nicanor Demario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind MMCE FC's goalkeeper Marco Lauren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 59 played minutes MMCE FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Bermund. After having played for 61 minutes, Nicanor Demario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iguazú's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MMCE FC the free kick. In the 69th match minute, Iguazú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Abadie to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Arturo Tohias managed to get in a good position for a shot. MMCE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Tohias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Madaleno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nicanor Demario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Anastasio Madaleno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Arturo Tohias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasio Madaleno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Iguazú's zone, Nicanor Demario stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Madaleno came out of the goal and Nicanor Demario tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th match minute, Iguazú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Abadie to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arturo Tohias in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anastasio Madaleno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the match, Nicanor Demario had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anastasio Madaleno. Iguazú's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicanor Demario was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Modesto Isusko struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. MMCE FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
