Nicanor Demario took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Generoso Duardo. Generoso Duardo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Arturo Tohias had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Generoso Duardo. Volcán's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arturo Tohias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Delmar Soin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Lauren having to interfere. Volcán's Generoso Duardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Tohias in the 28th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Nicanor Demario ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Generoso Duardo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 41 minutes, David Lonzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Volcán and the MMCE FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute, David Lonzo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Generoso Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicanor Demario in the 42nd minute of play. Nicanor Demario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Generoso Duardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Volcán getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Benedicto Ellande hit a great ball. After the first half MMCE FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
After a defensive mix-up in MMCE FC's zone, Delmar Soin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Lauren came out of the goal and Delmar Soin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute, Arturo Tohias reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Generoso Duardo. The goal made the score 0-4. Nicanor Demario might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Generoso Duardo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicanor Demario ran back to his position shaking his head. If Arturo Tohias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Volcán's Francisco Baleren got a free kick in the 65th minute. Arturo Tohias struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Generoso Duardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MMCE FC. Nicanor Demario sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Arturo Tohias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 75 minutes, Nicanor Demario managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MMCE FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Demario was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Tohias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arturo Tohias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Duardo having to interfere.
