After 20 played minutes Volcán got a freekick which was hit by David Lonzo. Anastasio Madaleno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 30th match minute, Iguazú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gogo Euloxu to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes, Volcán's Leandro Leoncio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anastasio Madaleno came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Volcán reached it. If Delmar Soin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Modesto Isusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Generoso Duardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41stth minute of the game Romulo Oton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Volcán's Generoso Duardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the game, one of Volcán:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romulo Oton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iguazú's Anastasio Madaleno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Soin in the 51st minute of play. After 56 played minutes Volcán got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Dantae. Modesto Isusko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Generoso Duardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Hori was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Volcán's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iguazú the free kick. After 61 played minutes Volcán got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Hori. In the 62nd minute, Rene Vistruario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Delmar Soin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Volcán's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmar Soin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anastasio Madaleno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Delmar Soin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anastasio Madaleno was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Volcán's Delmar Soin got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Modesto Isusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Oton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Generoso Duardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Modesto Isusko struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Generoso Duardo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iguazú. Generoso Duardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Isusko in the 92nd minute of play. Lorenzo Hori hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Modesto Isusko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
