Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rolando Inguma took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Isidoro Orkatz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Herena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Olmos AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Braulio Honesto was slow to take the kick. During this time Río de La Plata's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Río de La Plata's Braulio Honesto to fire away a dangerous shot which Teodoro Herena despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Baldomero Casomiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the game, Joel Mark was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Río de La Plata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olmos AFC the free kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Dante Iruinea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prudencio Maju. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. If Rolando Inguma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Hug kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the game, Dante Iruinea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olmos AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Río de La Plata the free kick. In the 28th minute, Dante Iruinea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeronimo Senen during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jeronimo Senen hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Olmos AFC's Teodoro Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Checa in the 35th minute of play. Teodoro Herena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Inguma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Braulio Honesto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Río de La Plata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braulio Honesto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Dante Iruinea made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Rolando Inguma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Río de La Plata's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Inguma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Herena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes of play Río de La Plata's Joel Mark was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Baldomero Casomiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Herena having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Jeronimo Senen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Teodoro Herena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sixto Checa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Herena having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Olmos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Casomiro came free, but Teodoro Herena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesar Selatse hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Isaac Quirze kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Río de La Plata's Sixto Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 83 minutes into the match, Olmos AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sixto Checa came free, but Teodoro Herena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Baldomero Casomiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaac Quirze sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Río de La Plata's Sixto Checa got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Isidoro Orkatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Olmos AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Río de La Plata were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
