In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Signos FC's goalkeeper Placido Bertol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Signos FC's Placido Bertol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolando Inguma in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Signos FC booed when Río de La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgardo Ascencio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Placido Bertol acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 21st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Braulio Honesto. The wind increased when Ezequiel Goito made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Jeronimo Senen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Río de La Plata fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 57 minutes into the match, Isidoro Orkatz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Placido Bertol. Signos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidoro Orkatz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Prudencio Maju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Senon in the 61st minute of play. Río de La Plata's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
