In the 13th minute Evelio Lugo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Bertol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th match minute, C.A.Temperley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Egoi to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute Iker Senon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Montez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Melquiades Egoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Placido Bertol. Signos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Egoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Temperley's goalkeeper Jorge Montez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, C.A.Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Senon came free, but Jorge Montez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Celestino Nayely left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Temperley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 32 minutes into the match, Signos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Lugo came free, but Placido Bertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Bittor kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Egoi in the 36th minute of play forced Signos FC's goalkeeper Placido Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Signos FC's Jorge Montez threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ezequiel Goito, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 38 minutes into the game, one of C.A.Temperley:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jorge Montez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Iker Senon's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Signos FC's Federico Cesario suffered a concussion in the 45th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Elias Abadie charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Signos FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C.A.Temperley were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melquiades Egoi to make the kick off. Melquiades Egoi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Placido Bertol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Signos FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Ezequiel Goito hit a great ball. After some careless play in the C.A.Temperley defense, Iker Senon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Montez. The C.A.Temperley fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Montez should have stopped the shot. Placido Bertol was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Celestino Nayely showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 64 minute of play. Jorge Montez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Bastiaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iker Senon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Placido Bertol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Signos FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Javier Bittor hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Melquiades Egoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Bertol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Egoi in the 78th minute of play forced Signos FC's goalkeeper Placido Bertol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saverio Bastiaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Senon couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Temperley's zone, Iker Senon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Montez came out of the goal and Iker Senon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute of the match, Melquiades Egoi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Placido Bertol saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Signos FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
