Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evaristo Gonzo to make the kick off. Gustavo Oxel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Melquiades Videl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Burzaco futbol club's Eduardo Senin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Peruxu in the 82nd minute of play. Pastor Iliana took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Senin. Many of Burzaco futbol club's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Burzaco futbol club may have spent more time on the ball, but Mavericks were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
