The supporters of Azul y Oro FC booed when UnionTate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Firme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Bernaldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Viviano's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute, Wilfredo Viviano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teodoro Bernaldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Lauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Teodoro Bernaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Viviano in the 22nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in UnionTate's zone, Wilfredo Viviano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Bernaldo came out of the goal and Wilfredo Viviano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UnionTate's Teodoro Bernaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Viviano in the 36th minute of play. Wilfredo Viviano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Bernaldo having to interfere. Haroldo Lauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the game, Azul y Oro FC's Wilfredo Viviano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Bernaldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Federico Cristofol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Bruno Colas when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Quiroga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Federico Cristofol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bruno Colas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomas Quiroga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Azul y Oro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacio Ruy to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the game, Tomas Quiroga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bruno Colas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Celedonio Darien fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Azul y Oro FC's protests and gave Celedonio Darien a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th minute, Celedonio Darien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfredo Viviano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
