Cerrito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrian Petrigai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Vinicio Crescencio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerrito's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinicio Crescencio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Cordero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The long shot by Horacio Ruisko in the 17th minute really tested Omar Cordero's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Adrian Petrigai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Generoso Eufrasio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Cordero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Petrigai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Cordero having to make a save. Adrian Petrigai struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Omar Cordero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerrito. Omar Cordero made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Teodoro Munio sent off a good shot on target. Adrian Petrigai who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Omar Cordero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Osvaldo Ongile hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horacio Ruisko took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Omar Cordero. Guandacol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 44th minute, Generoso Eufrasio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Guandacol were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Ongile was the one to do the kick off. Cerrito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Osvaldo Ongile scored to the left of an out of position Sebastian Rivero, making the score, 0-2. In the 55th match minute, Cerrito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Ruisko to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Cerrito's goalkeeper Sebastian Rivero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Saturnino Efraim. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guandacol's goalkeeper Omar Cordero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adrian Petrigai might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Omar Cordero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Petrigai ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 61 minutes, Osvaldo Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guandacol's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Ongile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Guandacol getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Saturnino Efraim hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Adrian Petrigai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Omar Cordero was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Generoso Eufrasio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Rivero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Ongile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Hitz got free with Sebastian Rivero in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Guandacol's Omar Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Generoso Eufrasio in the 74th minute of play. Omar Cordero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Petrigai in the 79th minute of play. If Adrian Petrigai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damaso Sasoin struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Omar Cordero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cerrito. Guandacol's Omar Cordero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Petrigai in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Guandacol booed when Cerrito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Munio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cerrito's Sebastian Rivero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Ongile in the 95th minute of play. Guandacol were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cerrito's much stronger midfield.
