Federico Cristofol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Cordero having to interfere. Saturnino Efraim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th match minute, Guandacol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Oinaz to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, UnionTate's Artemio Jax broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, Guandacol's Omar Cordero got control of the ball when Federico Cristofol tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Osvaldo Ongile came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Guandacol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Ongile couldn't finish the play. Tomas Quiroga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guandacol's Omar Cordero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Guandacol from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd match minute, UnionTate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Cristofol to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Ongile to strike the kick off in the second half. Omar Cordero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Firme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Quiroga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Omar Cordero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, UnionTate's Teodoro Bernaldo got control of the ball when Saturnino Efraim tried to sneak it across the goal line. Omar Cordero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Quiroga's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Guandacol's Saturnino Efraim got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Osvaldo Ongile got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Federico Cristofol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omar Cordero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Antonio Firme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. UnionTate had won after a very even match.
