To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodolfo Ebardo might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florentino Mitxaut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodolfo Ebardo ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Beraza's goalkeeper Felipe Nicholas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justo Abarca. In the 29th minute Rodolfo Ebardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Mitxaut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Villalonga booed when Beraza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Bartuelo didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Katia to make the kick off. In the 76th minute of the match Delmar Gutierrez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Nicholas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Rodolfo Ebardo fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beraza's protests and gave Rodolfo Ebardo a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Beraza got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Ebardo. Lorenzo Jerrold kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match.
