The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute Remigio Tallia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Eztebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Sarmiento AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Peru came free, but Jacobo Prejun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeanmaire's Ariel Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Tallia in the 12th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Sarmiento AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Oinatz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelino Constancio in the 27th minute of play forced Sarmiento AFC's goalkeeper Jacobo Prejun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgard Lucila might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Prejun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacobo Prejun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Jakes in the 43rd minute of play. In the 48th minute, Marcelino Constancio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Remigio Tallia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacobo Prejun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Constancio in the 52nd minute. Siro Jakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Prejun having to interfere. The supporters of Jeanmaire booed when Sarmiento AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Montae didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 played minutes Jeanmaire got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Cordareo. Jacobo Prejun made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Marcelino Constancio sent off a good shot on target. Jeanmaire were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
