The Los Diablos de Villa Real fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramiro Oro should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that German Mateus's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ulises Policarpio was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Los Diablos de Villa Real's Fabricio Astrada got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddy Arias during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Azopardo got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Arias. German Mateus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Policarpio having to interfere. In the 28th match minute, Los Diablos de Villa Real was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Txartiko to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Damian Ranolfo from long distance, 36 minutes into the match, got Ulises Policarpio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Oscar Oier came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Azopardo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Oier couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute Lisandro Bastian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Oro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 65th of the match, Lisandro Bastian tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Ramiro Oro got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 68th match minute, Azopardo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Tohias to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Oro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Bastian in the 70th minute of the match. Fabricio Astrada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th minute, Azopardo's Lisandro Bastian ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramiro Oro. Ramiro Oro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Jonathan Camerino's late challenge caught a Los Diablos de Villa Real's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Camerino helped the player get up and apologised. Jacobo Felipillo, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Azopardo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
