With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Prejun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ramiro Oro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dionisio Lorencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. When German Mateus came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Los Diablos de Villa Real fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Mateus couldn't finish the play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ramiro Oro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fabricio Astrada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The long shot by Ramon Eudoxio in the 51st minute really tested Ramiro Oro's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 56th minute German Mateus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Prejun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Fabricio Astrada managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Diablos de Villa Real's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabricio Astrada was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Prejun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dionisio Lorencio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless.
