Feliciano Sansone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Botello having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Feliciano Sansone got free with Romulo Botello in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eusebio Avellaneda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Romulo Botello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 played minutes Chimbas AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Mark. Romulo Botello acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 23rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Justo Haitz. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
