Gaspar Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Evangelista having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Hipolito Barbosa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benedicto Evangelista. Hipolito Barbosa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Silvestre Perrando hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Hipolito Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Evangelista having to interfere. Benedicto Evangelista was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Hipolito Barbosa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hipolito Barbosa really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Codruț Iordache was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in La Cruzada FC's zone, Codruț Iordache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaudencio Ramirez came out of the goal and Codruț Iordache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the game, Sebastian Chorche was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo San Onofre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Cruzada FC the free kick. In the 95th minute, Sebastian Chorche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
