The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match, Elpidio Sustrai tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Santo Naldo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Osmundo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Martxot saved Aldosivi mdq from getting behind. Thanks to some nice moves Artemio Orti could shoot a difficult shot in the 16th minute, which Santo Naldo however easily saved by the left post. Artemio Orti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Aldosivi mdq's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Osmundo came free, but Lorenzo Martxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Alberto Osmundo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Cabal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Osmundo couldn't finish the play. After 29 played minutes Aldosivi mdq got a freekick which was hit by Omar Salomone. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Alberto Osmundo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cabal's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Osmundo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lorenzo Martxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31stth minute of the game Cristian Indar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aldosivi mdq's Lorenzo Martxot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Indar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lorenzo Martxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Indar's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 43rdth minute of the game Alberto Osmundo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aldosivi mdq's Lorenzo Martxot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Sustrai to make the kick off. With a little luck, Aldosivi mdq's Lorenzo Martxot got control of the ball when Cristian Indar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lorenzo Martxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Osmundo in the 58th minute of play. When Elpidio Sustrai fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aldosivi mdq's protests and gave Elpidio Sustrai a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Aldosivi mdq got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Sustrai. Cristian Indar's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Lorenzo Martxot skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Aldosivi mdq's Lorenzo Martxot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Aldosivi mdq from getting a goal against them. Alberto Osmundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Martxot having to interfere. Cristian Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cabal booed when Aldosivi mdq was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Osmundo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lorenzo Martxot read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. With his leg Lorenzo Martxot managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Cabal's Cristian Indar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The Cabal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cabal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
