The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Erubiel Flores charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erubiel Flores the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, GUT AND HEART was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Flores to maneuver through the defense. After 14th play minutes Gilberto Karmel shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Teobaldo Ciano and just under the crossbar into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Joaquin Firmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batacazo F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquin Firmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobaldo Ciano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Teobaldo Ciano managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Batacazo F.C.'s Gilberto Karmel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Batacazo F.C.'s Joaquin Firmo got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, GUT AND HEART's Pastor Lizbeth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Mogel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 29 played minutes Batacazo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Mino. Pastor Lizbeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Hilario Mogel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horacio Iaki hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 37th match minute, Batacazo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Montae to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Firmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Karmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Ciano having to interfere. Erubiel Flores struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Hilario Mogel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GUT AND HEART. After 46 played minutes Batacazo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Saul Giro. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pastor Lizbeth to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilberto Karmel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Ciano having to interfere. Joaquin Firmo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teobaldo Ciano having to make a save. 63 minutes into the match, GUT AND HEART's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Karmel came free, but Teobaldo Ciano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Batacazo F.C. booed when GUT AND HEART was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Licerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Joaquin Firmo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teobaldo Ciano was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Arnoldo Licerio hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Hilario Mogel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Lizbeth, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. A collision led to GUT AND HEART getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ricardo Eyague hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Batacazo F.C.'s Feliciano Hug tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Batacazo F.C.'s Gilberto Karmel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teobaldo Ciano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Batacazo F.C.'s Gilberto Karmel got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
