Erasmo Firmo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eloy Llope's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Diego Chorache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Chorache in the 23rd minute of play forced Tiaguas FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Firmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Casado came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Eduardo Frechoso could save by the left post. Eduardo Frechoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Montrel, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Tiaguas FC booed when Cerveceros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Berto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Chorache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Erasmo Firmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eloy Llope to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Primitivo Casado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tiaguas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerveceros the free kick.
