In the 15th minute Tadeo Mannie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Gabirel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Porvenir's Aristides Maties got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tadeo Mannie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Resistencia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tadeo Mannie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Gabirel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Resistencia AFC's goalkeeper Filomeno Panpili, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remigio Gabirel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tadeo Mannie in the 62nd minute of play. Tadeo Mannie took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Gabirel. Remigio Gabirel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Filomeno Panpili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porvenir. Mariano Savion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mariano Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Resistencia AFC's Tadeo Mannie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Remigio Gabirel narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
