Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ubaldo Soin to make the kick off. Adolfo Rioja was a little too slow when Fausto Acevedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Florencio Victoro got his second yellow card in the match during the 58th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Fausto Acevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Fausto Acevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fontana's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Acevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolfo Rioja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Fontana players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
