Romeo Leheren's late challenge caught a Sportivo Pueyrredon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romeo Leheren helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Romeo Leheren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseo Neron in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cayetano Gartxot saved Sportivo Pueyrredon from getting behind. The supporters of Sportivo Pueyrredon booed when ANKARA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Leheren didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Aurelio Martxel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportivo Pueyrredon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Cayetano Gartxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseo Neron's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Delmiro Fanuco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnaldo Ciceron, 3-0. The referee ignored Sportivo Pueyrredon's protests and gave Isaias Fresco a yellow card for diving instead. Isaias Fresco kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. After 42nd play minutes Eliseo Neron shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Cayetano Gartxot and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the Sportivo Pueyrredon defense, Romeo Leheren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cayetano Gartxot. The Sportivo Pueyrredon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cayetano Gartxot should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Olando to make the kick off. Sportivo Pueyrredon's Cayetano Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Rio in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Pueyrredon's zone, Romeo Leheren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Gartxot came out of the goal and Romeo Leheren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Cayetano Gartxot managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when ANKARA FC's Eliseo Neron fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blas Jerico during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Blas Jerico kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. ANKARA FC's Erubiel Admon got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 74 in the game by Eliseo Neron from a close distance when the talented Cayetano Gartxot managed to make a qualified save. Sportivo Pueyrredon's players were relieved. In the 75th minute, Eliseo Neron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Cayetano Gartxot managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when ANKARA FC's Eliseo Neron fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eliseo Neron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Cayetano Gartxot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 84th minute by Eliseo Neron got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Eliseo Neron managed to get in a good position for a shot. ANKARA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Neron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cayetano Gartxot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Romeo Leheren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Eliseo Neron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cayetano Gartxot. Sportivo Pueyrredon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Neron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. If Eliseo Neron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ANKARA FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
