Constantino Kepa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Constantino Kepa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Lona FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Constantino Kepa 21 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Paolo Lizardi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Paolo Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eulalio Hitz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paolo Ekain came out and tried to block the shot, but Eulalio Hitz slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Paolo Lizardi charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paolo Lizardi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Leon F.C got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Lizardi. Paolo Ekain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Kepa in the 37th minute of play. Deportivo Lona FC's Paolo Ekain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Lona FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Lona FC's Celestino Suarez got a free kick in the 49th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Kepa made a kick off. Basilio Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Lona FC's Isidoro Tohias got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Deportivo Lona FC's Efrain Bittor in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leon F.C's goalie prevented a goal. 74 minutes into the game, Efrain Bittor recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Abelardo Santana. Efrain Bittor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. If Constantino Kepa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Deportivo Lona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Hitz came free, but Paolo Ekain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Constantino Kepa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Paolo Ekain was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 84 minutes, Basilio Santana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leon F.C and the Deportivo Lona FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, Basilio Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Deportivo Lona FC's Efrain Bittor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-3. Eulalio Hitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Paolo Ekain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Constantino Kepa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Leon F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Kepa couldn't finish the play. In the 95thth minute of the game Eulalio Hitz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Lona FC's Paolo Ekain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Constantino Kepa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paolo Ekain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Kepa in the 102nd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Deportivo Lona FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Leon F.C.
