Abelardo Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Olando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Constantino Kepa fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Constantino Kepa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cayetano Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Constantino Kepa in the 68th minute of play. Abelardo Santana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aurelio Martxel in the 70th minute. Silvano Olando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Santana having to interfere. Abelardo Santana made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Aurelio Martxel sent off a good shot on target. If Eulalio Hitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sportivo Pueyrredon booed when Leon F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Lizardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Silvano Olando's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abelardo Santana was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilio Santana during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
