In the 9th minute, Eulalio Hitz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Caradaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 12th minute, Eulalio Hitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anastasio Lano's late challenge caught a Loreto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasio Lano helped the player get up and apologised. After 23 played minutes, Loreto's Jeremias Lartaun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Abelardo Santana came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Loreto reached it. A collision led to Leon F.C getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Anastasio Lano hit a great ball. Abelardo Santana acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cecilio Ospetsu. Bernabe Gonsalvo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the game, Basilio Santana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leon F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Loreto the free kick. In the 35th minute, Basilio Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bernabe Gonsalvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantino Kepa in the 46th minute of play forced Loreto's goalkeeper Sergio Caradaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Constantino Kepa to strike the kick off in the second half. Eulalio Hitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Constantino Kepa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Eulalio Hitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sergio Caradaro. Loreto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eulalio Hitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Loreto's Sergio Caradaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Loreto from getting a goal against them. Sergio Caradaro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Constantino Kepa's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Urbano Dalmau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Santana having to interfere. The supporters of Loreto booed when Leon F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Rudolfo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Gonsalvo in the 72nd minute of the match. Eulalio Hitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Caradaro having to interfere. In the 90th match minute, Loreto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Gabon to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes in the game Anastasio Lano after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Sergio Caradaro. A very good opportunity. The Leon F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leon F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
