If Geronimo Jobo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paolo Ekain showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 37th match minute, Taladro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Bemabe to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Bittor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guido Unai struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Paolo Ekain didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taladro. Geronimo Jobo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Unai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Ekain having to interfere. Paolo Ekain was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Christian Bemabe. Paolo Ekain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geronimo Jobo in the 83rd minute. Geronimo Jobo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paolo Ekain having to interfere. Paolo Ekain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Unai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 93 played minutes, Taladro's Ricardo Oihan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paolo Ekain came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. The Deportivo Lona FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Taladro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
