With a left leg Javier Elodio saved Guzmán from getting behind. After 17 minutes, Eleuterio Jaunti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guzmán and the Instituto ACC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Guzmán got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Jaunti. Emanuel Tome succeeded in the game's 27th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. In the 31stth minute of the game Ramiro Urre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guzmán's Javier Elodio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Andres Eudoxio came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Instituto ACC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andres Eudoxio couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
